Stranger Didn’t Seem So Mysterious When It Came To Poetry

July 5th, 2010 by admin

I met a man on the subway while on the way to the Hip Hop Poetry session at a cafe in the city. He seemed very polite and I had no problem talking with him but didn’t want to miss my ride. He turned out to be a poet and gave me his card that said “Abram Arteaga”. He was borderline famous! I’m guessing he was hoping someone like me would spread the word around, and it worked. I ended telling everyone I knew that I met a famous poet in the subway, likely headed to the same place and didn’t even know it.
