I, as well as my friend James who might like Spoken Word Poems, have played World of Warcraft since the Burning Crusade expansion and we’ve always played Paladins. In the beginning, Paladins were a laughable joke: as tanks, they were inferior to Warrios and Druids. In damage dealing (Retribution), they were arguably the worst in the entire game for upwards 3 years. They were only prized in healing, and because of this, people did not respect Retribution Paladins or Protection Paladins for a long time. In Burning Crusade, Protection Paladins were revamped and became viable, but Retributiont Paladins did not.
