Tubing Down the Esopus River

When I was in college, my friends and I decided to make a small road trip to Esopus, New York. Now what Esopus is most famous for is the Esopus river which has a great sport called tubing. If you’ve never heard of tubing, you are given the giant inflated inner tire like tube and you start at one part of the river and tube through to the other side. What’s great is that waiting for you on the other side is a train that takes you right back to the starting point. It’s all part of the package.
Tubing down the Esopus is just one of the many activities in the area. I’ve learned over the years that there’s lot’s to do in the Catskills. From Hunter Mountain festivals to visiting Cooperstown, you can find something for each member of your family.
