Release through impact

January 4th, 2010 by admin

Many people don’t release the club head properly through impact which could taking 20 yards or more off their drives.  A lot of people tend to hold onto the club tighter than needs be and as a result they don’t release the club on the right path.

Here’s what you can do - grab a sand wedge and try chipping into a bucket that is 15 meters in front of you.  You should try and think about having soft hands and try to feel the shot.  The next time you grab your driver you can emulate how you felt with the sand wedge and really snap the wrists through impact for more distance.  For more golf driving tips read the 5 keys to distance by Eric Jones.
