We were planning a field day for my son’s school.  We decided that we would charge admission to the parents to watch and to the kids to participate.  The proceeds would go to the family of a boy in my son’s class who is fighting cancer in the hospital.  We contacted a company that said they would donate charity t-shirts and ordered one for each kid.  The event was a blast and we raised so much money.  The family was able to buy the boy a laptop and now they can skype with him anytime in the hospital.  It was a great learning experience for everyone.
