Virus In Canines

July 24th, 2010 by admin

The canine parvovirus or the virus that is simply and commonly regarded as the Dog Parvo has been a menace and a real headache to dogs and owners alike. Even though it does not really produce serious and fatal symptoms to the dogs themselves, they can really be troubling and dangerous to puppies who incur the disease. Puppies as we all know are the ones most susceptible to the canine parvovirus because of their underdeveloped immune and body systems. Some of the earlier symptoms that transpire when a puppy is plagued by the disease include high grade fever, lethargy or abnormal drowsiness, and depression. Prompt and adequate treatment is advised to counter the disease and the virus.
