Last week our preacher asked the congregation if they would be willing to send food and supplies to the people who have been affected by the oil spill in the gulf coast. He said that many of the people were going through the BP Claims Process, but they needed help faster than the paperwork could go through. The preacher said that we could all meet at the church on Wednesday to box up food to send to the gulf coast. The lady who was sitting beside me said she was going to go to the food surplus store to buy canned goods to send. I told my husband that I thought we should do the same thing.
