Information on planting corn

I had no idea there was so many books with information on corn. I also didn’t know that it was possible to grow popcorn. I guess I’m learning quite a bit about gardening, and more specifically, about planting corn. Corn can be planted in warm weather but not much warmer than 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Corn has to be planted in rows or blocks so pollination can happen. Pollination is an absolute necessity for corn to grow. You can even start corn indoors in peat pots about 4 weeks before you think the last frost might be and transplant it after the frost danger is past. In the back yard garden, corn can even be planted in raised flower beds. So it seems that even the weekend gardener has the opportunity to plant corn and have some summer corn, fresh from the garden, at the dinner table.
