if you’re looking for freshwater aquarium plants, you’ll have a lot of choices to pick from.  if you want something tall to go in the back of your tank, java fern is a nice choice.  if you’re looking for something to hang out in the middle of the tank, then i’d recommend going with something like melon sword.  for the front of the tank, you don’t want anything big because that would obscure the view of your fish so i’d say go with something like moss balls of dwarf baby tears.  the fish will be happier because everybody likes plants… even fish.  they also help keep you ecosystem in better shape which means less sudden fish death.
