Origins of Classical Music

August 25th, 2010 by admin

Classical Music is the art music that stretches back to the medieval era and covers modern and contemporary music of the 21st century. Most of the instruments used in classical music belong to the mid-nineteenth century. Classical music in all forms have withstood and outperformed all other forms of popular music because of the perceived purity of this form of music. Though the piano, harpsichord and the organ were commonly used instruments, other instruments were also used albeit less frequently. The electric guitar made occasional appearance at classical music recordings toward the 20th century. Recent decades have seen a lot of experimentation in this form of music.
