Lawyers have to learn a lot of things about many different industries. One of the most challenging areas for lawyers has to do with the medical field.  Since they are not a trained physician, nurse, technician or any other person in the medical field, they are at a disadvantage when it comes to medical terminology. However, they can do something to alleviate this weakness.  They can memorize anatomy in order to be able to argue their cases with more authority and confidence.  Of course, they will bring in expert witnesses in the medical field, but they need to be able to communicate with these witness and summarize their findings and analysis.
